Winter adventures and Dolomites views
Snowy peaks rising majestically towards the blue sky. Woods swathed in silence, and rustic huts serving traditional fare and refreshments. However you decide to experience our winterscape, the view of the Dolomites will be your constant companion.
Wintry charm
Pssst… ask us, and we’ll let you in on the best insider tips for your adventures on snow, both on and off the ski slopes!
Skiing
With the Three Peaks Dolomites, Kronplatz and Cortina ski areas all within easy reach, you will be spoilt for choice. And if you wish, we’re happy to book a ski instructor who will guide you to the best slopes in the area.
Cross-country skiing
The Hochpustertal valley is South Tyrol’s cross-country skiing Mecca, with over 200 km of trails for you to glide through snow-covered meadows and woodland. We especially recommend the Höhlensteintal valley trail, affording spectacular views of the Three Peaks.
Winter walks and snowshoeing
Immerse yourself in nature and let the silence of winter wash over you. The snowshoe hike through the idyllic Popena Valley, with views of Mt. Cristallo and the Marmarole mountains, is something you don’t want to miss.
Ski touring
Climb your way through pristine white slopes and ski down deep powder snow. The Mt. Dürrenstein and Mt. Golfen ski tour, near Toblach, offers fantastic views of the Dolomites.
Sledging
Take the lift up to the mountain station of the Three Peaks ski area and whizz down the Rotwand or Haunold runs. Other options include the idyllic Taistner Alm and the Urwald Alm runs in Gsies.
South Tyrol Guest Pass
The comfortable and sustainable way to move around: use the complimentary Südtirol Guest Pass we will e-mail you (or print out for you, on request) to travel for free on all public transport across South Tyrol (regional trains, buses, Citybuses and some lift facilities).
