Live the mountains – summer holidaying in the Pustertal valley
Alpine meadows covered in flowers and crystal-clear mountain tarns. Rugged peaks and wild waters. A summer holiday in the Pustertal valley has so much to offer, with trails and tours for everyone. If you’d rather explore it with someone who knows the area, we are happy to book a mountain or bike guide for you!
Summer in the mountains
This is where we share our best tips for your summer pursuits in the Pustertal valley!
Hiking trails
Discover a stunning natural landscape, one step at a time: local highlights include the circular walks around the Three Peaks, Lake Pragser Wildsee and the quieter – but no less beautiful – Lake Toblach.
Mountain biking
Can’t wait to tread on the pedals? Test your limits on the Stoneman Trail: the first stage takes you up to the 2,500-metre Mt. Marchkinkele and then back downhill to Silian, in Austria.
Climbing
There are great climbing routes waiting for you in the Höhlensteintal valley. And if the weather doesn’t play along, the Nordic Arena climbing hall in Toblach has you covered!
Rafting
A splash of fun and an adrenaline kick, rolled into one experience: take a guided white water rafting tour in the Ahrntal valley for an action-packed day out!
Tennis
The Niederdorf tennis court is open all year, with two outdoor artificial clay courts in the summer and a heated airdome in winter.
Paragliding
Soar high, over the peaks of the Dolomites, free as a bird. Book a tandem flight with one of the pilots at Tandemfly 3 Zinnen in Sexten – it’s going to be an unforgettable experience.
South Tyrol Guest Pass
The comfortable and sustainable way to move around: use the complimentary Südtirol Guest Pass we will e-mail you (or print out for you, on request) to travel for free on all public transport across South Tyrol (regional trains, buses, Citybuses and some lift facilities).
