Our Alpine farm

Luxurious apartments on an organic farm in South Tyrol

Sustainable, close to nature, and with heart. We run our farm according to organic guidelines: our sheep and cattle live in a species-appropriate manner—in summer, they graze on the alpine pastures. We create a homely atmosphere for our guests, where it is easy to feel at ease and relax. At an altitude of 1,560 meters, we lovingly tend to our certified organic farm, feed our animals exclusively with natural hay, and passionately process herbs, berries, and fruits into fine farm products – from herbal salt to jam.

Homemade products

Browse our farm shop for our seasonal and homemade goodness: fruit spreads and juices, honey, herbal teas and salts, smoked sausages and salami… all available while stocks last. Also, check out our wooden and hay handicrafts if you’re looking for a special souvenir: each piece is unique, handmade by Toni himself!

We South Tyrolean farmers have been living in harmony with nature for centuries. Local farms have fascinating stories to tell, about how things used to be and how they are today. Get first-hand insights into South Tyrolean farmer culture by taking a guided farm tour and visiting our new Vita Rustica farm museum.

Experience the most romantic couple’s getaway – admire the Dolomites glowing in the sunset, cuddle up in the cosy atmosphere of your apartment and treat yourselves to a fragrant hay bath – just for the two of you. Fall asleep under a canopy of stars and wake up to birdsong. At Berggut Niggler, you can make memories for a lifetime.

Our animals

Here, you can experience farm life up close—with direct encounters with our animals and exciting insights into everyday farm life. In summer, our cows and sheep spend around three months on the alpine pasture, about 6 km from the farm—a real vacation for our animals.

In harmony with nature

We take our responsibility towards people and the environment seriously and like to be self-sufficient. We heat with local wood and use the power of the sun for our hot water and electricity, including for our hot tubs and electric charging station. Our own spring water flows from the taps throughout the house, so you can do without plastic bottles. A SodaStream is also available for extra fizz.
